trenchbuff Posted July 10, 2015 Share #1 Posted July 10, 2015 Found this little button, if that's even what it is, in a box of assorted military items from all time periods. I've posted it under Revolutionary War, but don't really know what time period it could be from. It's about 5/8" diameter, looks to b made of iron and depicts an eagle clutching a cannon. The shank is flat and has no hole in it so not sure what or how it was used. Anyone have any idea about this piece?

trenchbuff Posted July 11, 2015 Author Share #5 Posted July 11, 2015 Thanks for solving the mystery dag. Somehow ended up in a box of early US items, Civil War and earlier. Mods may decide to remove since it turned out to be French.
