I thought starting a painted field gear thread would be a great way to show various paint variations in pattern and color. If you could, I think it would be interesting to post what unit used it (if you happen to know) for future reference.

I don't have too much but here is what I have so far.

All of these were found in the VA beach area so probably Navy used. I find it interesting that the canteen was painted on the backside.

Heres a vest also found in VA beach, discovered it to be a diving vest for Navy Mobile Diving Salvage Units. Usually gear is painted when deployed because most gear was OD or woodland, this was painted to be a woodland type pattern.

I have not seen too much of this, UCP painted, in this case an etool pouch. It looks to of had some tan, as seen on the buckle and the back, and also some dark brownish green. I also have an UCP IFAK pouch painted a grey is color, but I cant seem to find it.

QRV Tactical vest made by Elevated Urban Operations of Florida. This is an older vest with a 1986 date I believe. The pouches have been spray painted tan, so I believe this one was more than likely used during Desert Storm time period
