Unknown Steel Helmet, Leather Suspension

Hi, I was wondering if anyone recognizes this helmet shape. It kinda looks like an M1, but the front "cut" is different and it has a padded leather suspension and a chinstrap attached to four points on the helmet. I just started researching helmets so this may be a no-brainer. Any help would be appreciated!

Cap Camouflage Pattern I

Liner is the three-pad type seen on many European helmets.

Except for a couple thousand experimental helmets made between WW1 and WW2 the US has not used the design.
