wnewmanhp Posted June 29, 2015 Share #1 Posted June 29, 2015 Hi, I was wondering if anyone recognizes this helmet shape. It kinda looks like an M1, but the front "cut" is different and it has a padded leather suspension and a chinstrap attached to four points on the helmet. I just started researching helmets so this may be a no-brainer. Any help would be appreciated!
daniel griffin Posted June 29, 2015 Share #2 Posted June 29, 2015 I believe that it is the M71 Swiss helmet.

Cap Camouflage Pattern I Posted June 29, 2015 Share #5 Posted June 29, 2015 Liner is the three-pad type seen on many European helmets. Except for a couple thousand experimental helmets made between WW1 and WW2 the US has not used the design.
