Parachute mess, HELP

To make a long story short....

I had an empty parachute pack with a harness.

I had a chute with no home.

I folded the chute into the pack and BINGO, more room in my storage room.

Here's the problem.

The chute is from 1997 and I received it from a member of Seal Team 4, I guess it's a Halo chute.

The pack is 1979 and I don't really have a need for it, but I had it.

The harness I think is older than 1979, can you tell?

I don't know anything about parachutes themselves, they are very foreign to me.

Which is weird I know, my dad was a paratrooper and I'm a historian for the 503rd.

Anyway...

Here is my end goal, I need a harness, pack and chute from the early 1960's, My dad was a paratrooper from 61-64 and I want to make a complete set up. I have a reserve chute he managed to borrow from the army :) It's dated 59. I figure a main chute dated around that time frame would work nice for the display.

More questions.

What do I do with the Halo chute?

What pack and harness do I need for it should I want to make it complete?

What do I do with the 1979 dated pack?

What chute and harness properly go with it should I want to complete it?

What am I in search of for a main rig for my fathers time frame?

No markings on the harness, is this harness correct for my fathers use?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Should this be the incorrect forum, please feel free to move it.

I didn't know where to post this question, so I posted it in the area with the most parachute questions.
