These are small 37mm shells which are less often encountered in Trench Art pieces. The more common types are the much larger 75mm shells such as the FRENCH 75.

Note: These are difficult to photograph so please excuse any lack of detail.

From left to right:

1. Depicts a small bird, sun, and oak leaves. US 37mm.

2. Shows an attached raised Cathederal at REIMS and Oak LEAVES. German 37mm

3. Heavily embossed and inscribed. Along the top edge VERDUN AEF.

In a panel: Lieut L.R. WHEELOCK 808 Inf. BAND 1918

Embossed with Hearts, Leaves, & Flowers. US 37mm.

All from my personnel collection.
