robinb Posted June 14, 2015 Share #1 Posted June 14, 2015 Pulled into the flea market parking lot this morning and this big boy was standing next to one of the sellers car. I couldn't believe my eyes. It's a late WW2 M5A2 Paracrate that was used with the 75mm pack howitzer. It would hold the barrel of the piece for a parachute drop. There would be several more of these containers holding other parts of the howitzer; the M3A2, M4A2 and M6A1. I already have the M9A2 Paracaisson so it's a nice companion piece.
