Early fisrt aid pouch information needed.

I have been pouring over the threads on the forum and have read mention of two articles about the individual first aid pouches. I have the one written by Bill Phillips and Carter Rila from the Military Collector and Historian. There is another really good article that I have read but can't find again. I am thinking from a magazine or similar publication. I remember great color pictures of the packets and pouches. Can anyone help me locate the article?

Thanks

Bob

I think I had that one linked somewhere too. However, when the forum was upgraded my links to Carter's article and others went by the wayside. They are dead links now. I knew I should have downloaded them. Before Tera byte storage, etc., space was at a premium. I'll keep looking.

Send me the links and I can find them.

There have been a lot of posts, so it doesn't ring a bell.

There was a link to the whole first aid pouch and bandage article, maybe page by page... that's what I am looking for in addition to the pictures Bob is looking for.

this may have been part of the url even though this is just a picture

Ok I found the first one: http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/31603-m-1904-first-aid-packet/

The late Craig Pickrall had been sorting some threads just before he passed, and that one was still where he left it. I have moved it so it can be read now.

Great... I thought it was magic on my part ... couldn't get the link to work... typed it in the box to send to you... saved it and clicked on it to see if it would produce the same msg I was getting and low and behold it popped up.. refreshed the screen and seen in the next post you updated the link..

Thanks again.. wish all forum admins were on top of their game like you are RC

Thanks for the information. I have Bill and Carter's article but mine is a xerox copy, does anyone have a PDF they can send me. Perhaps I was not remembering things correctly when I asked for the other article. I could have sworn I saw one in a Magazine but can not swear to it.

Thanks for the input

Bob
