It's an Infantry Regiment (post-WW2 variation from memory) but I don't have my references with me and can't remember which one.

It's a 1950s DI for the 88th Inf Bn.

 

Am TDY and can not review my resources for further.

Interesting, as a follow up to tredhed2's IDing of this piece, TIOH has a listing for this long forgotten and obscure unit (They normally don't).

Can't find anything more on it, other then it is not connected with the early WWII 88th Infantry Battalion which in due course would be redesignated as the 88th Glider Infantry Regiment of the 13th Airborne Division, and probably has a connection in some way to the old 88th Chemical Mortar Battalion, which did serve out in the Pacific in WWII to include The Philippines, thus the Philippine Sea Lion in Chief.
