JimM Posted May 29, 2015 Share #1 Posted May 29, 2015 I have 2 pair of recent desert combat boots - as far as I can tell - and need to know how to clean dark spots, especially on/around the toe areas. One pair was made by BelleElite and the other by Warrior. Any advice will be appreciated. I wear these to work and they are very comfortable. RedLegGI Posted May 29, 2015 Share #2 Posted May 29, 2015 They sell little kits at the PX for this. If its not this (http://perretsarmysurplus.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=3712) it is almost the exact same product. Worked pretty well. gpw_42 Posted May 29, 2015 Share #3 Posted May 29, 2015 Stiff bristle scrub brush and a gum eraser (from a business supply place) would be easier to get your hands on and equally effective. I had to learn that lesson the hard way. Steve
doyler Posted May 29, 2015 Share #4 Posted May 29, 2015 Most Western boot stores or specialty shoe stores will carry the brush for suede boot and shoes. The brush is a semi course brass bristle brush.
JimM Posted June 1, 2015 Author Share #5 Posted June 1, 2015 Thanks Guys: this really helps. Got these at a thrift store, where I volunteer, really comfortable. Good place to find these if you want some for your own use - speaking as a civilian of course. JimM
