Sarge8 Posted May 23, 2015 Share #1 Posted May 23, 2015 Hello. I picked up this item at a tag sale today. Have no idea what it is. The circle is 1-1/4 " in diameter and is almost lime green. Looks like an old wood plane on it, so maybe some kind of carpenter rating. Any help appreciated to what service (if military) and vintage. Sarge8 Posted May 23, 2015 Author Share #4 Posted May 23, 2015 Well that's a bummer! Didn't think of boy scouts- got target fixation, looking for mil stuff. He did have a couple boys, so maybe one of theirs. Oh well, only out a quarter. Thanks for the help. Have a Good Memorial Day Weekend and Bless all the Vets out there! Sarge8 Posted May 23, 2015 Author Share #5 Posted May 23, 2015 Merit badge is correct. Used from 1911 to 1952, so probably the vets from late 30's to pre "43 when he went in. Frank

GIl Sanow Posted May 24, 2015 Share #7 Posted May 24, 2015 Given the square cut and color, this one dates from before 1950. I believe it is Woodworking MB. G
Sarge8 Posted May 24, 2015 Author Share #8 Posted May 24, 2015 Thanks Gil and GunBunny Don't mean to put down the Boy Scouts or the badge, just thought I might have found an unusual military patch. I'll put the MB in a box for now. I think I have some other pre-war BS items that came with another grouping I bought years ago. Just have to find where I "filed" them.
