Anyone else collect these? Aircraft control pedals.

Here is one of my favorites. This is a NOS rudder pedal for the A-7 Corsair II. I have always liked the A-7 and was really happy to add this one to the collection.

That A-7 pedal is very similar to the F-4U ones, without the logo. Lovely. The B25 set are something too! I've just managed to get a second F-86 Sabre pedal to complete a display.

Your pedal looks just like the ones I posted in post #1.

I believe yours are from a C-119 also. Very nice pedal!!

I think they are part numbers and inspector stamps for the manufacturer.

Here is a picture of one of mine.

I think 195 T6 is the Alloy's Strength/testing code they would use as a reference after the casting process. Most the castings that are made for the same time period and aircraft should have a same code that is on it for testing purposes. I work for a natrual gas company and the old cast iron meters we replace have casting numbers on them like this that are the same. Not sure what the other numbers mean. I'm not a expert on parts for aircraft but, I would imagine the pedal can go into more then one type of aircraft so the other numbers would be a better reference for the actual plane. You could probably do a search on 195 T6 through fairchild and see what aircraft those casting would reference to.

I believe you are correct regarding the 195 T6 number. The other number (78-722018) is probably a Fairchild part number. The stamped numbers are usually company inspector marks.

A good way to search these pedals is to do a Google image search on Fairchild Aircraft cockpit images. Plenty of pictures to compare to your Fairchild pedal.

Here is a Google picture of a Fairchild C-123 cockpit. You can clearly see that this aircraft uses a different type of pedal. Have to find one of these!!!

This rudder pedal is from a Fairchild Republic A-10 Warthog. This one is in great condition. Appears to be freshly re-worked.

A little creative googling and I figured out I'm the proud owner of a pair of P/F-80/T-33 rudder pedals.

Congrats, that is a nice set of pedals you have there?‼️
