WW I officers boots???

I just got these and was told they are WW I officers boots .There are no markings inside Just want to make sure They are a real small size .

PROBABLY! Officers bought their own boots -- they were not issued. These appear to the the right style for WW1 and into the early '30's.

 

On the other hand, civilian riding boots would have been similar.

Thanks , I know they are old Just wanted to be sure they where right for a WW I uniform.

Dan,

 

They'll work just fine. I've seen them similar in period photos. Figure that since officers bought their own kit, as long as they were brown and below the knee they were good to go! From the construction I'd say they were period.
