Bob Hudson Posted April 18, 2007 Share #10 Posted April 18, 2007 U.S. NAVAL HOSPITAL, SANTA MARGARITA RANCH, OCEANSIDE, CALIFORNIA All complete with matches That is the base we now know as Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. It was named for Pendleton shortly after the government acquired it in 1942 so it's strange that the Navy used the old ranch name on the matchbooks. Dragoon Posted April 20, 2007 Share #13 Posted April 20, 2007 I have this matchbook from WW1, it is not in great condition, but I did find it in the bottom of a WW1 gasmask bag a few years ago. Each match is stamped "American Red Cross" none have been used.
