Ernest Marcy reported: "I believe that I am the last one to have seen Lt. Winter. At approximately 1140, 15 miles west of Kiel, Germany, our squadron was bounced by about 20 plus enemy aircraft. We started into a lufbery and I spun out of a sharp climbing turn. Lt. Winter was on my wing before this spin. At the top of the sharp climbing turn we were attacked by the 109s at which point I last saw Lt. Winter, my wingman. I spun out of a sharp climbing turn, lost sight of Lt. Winter and did not see him again."

38thFSDaughter Posted March 12, 2018 Share #14 Posted March 12, 2018 tball101 - I am trying to contact you regarding the flight suit you purchased for Ernest R. Marcy. I am his daughter. I'm interested in talking to you and I have some other memorabilia of his you may be interested in. (flight jacket; training logs; flight logs) Please contact me at my email, as I'm much better at that than trying to navigate this page. [email protected] Thank you.
