8thairforce Posted April 8, 2015 Share #1 Posted April 8, 2015 I picked up a few years ago this 551 squadron chest transfer in unissued condition and also one which was on a piece of leather and had been sewn ( and I assume then removed ) from an A2 jacket. Can I please ask the experts out there if these are less common than the embroided versions ? And also ask if they have any value in this unissued format ?? Many thanks Jim
Jeffro Posted April 8, 2015 Share #2 Posted April 8, 2015 Jim, I've never seen any embroidered patches from the 385th BG. They were all decals on leather or silkscreened on a sort of stiff, canvas/rubber-like material. Jeffro

firefighter Posted December 9, 2016 Share #5 Posted December 9, 2016 Very cool. I would have probably walked by this thinking it was just a nothing decal. What is the size? I found this, shows the design on an A-2. http://www.facesbeyondthegraves.com/pagina59.html
