fstop61 Posted April 7, 2015 Share #1 Posted April 7, 2015 Seems posters don't attract too much attention here on the USMF, but perhaps a Disney one might. Picked this on up the 'Bay. Measures approx. 12-1/2 " x 19" "Copyright 1943, Walt Disney Productions" (as well as) "Designed by Walt Disney for the Food and Nutrition Committee California War Council". There was a little bidding, but nothing like I thought it would be. So, I was very surprised that I won the auction (even with a minimal "high" bid). disneydave Posted April 8, 2015 Share #5 Posted April 8, 2015 Nice poster and one I have always liked. This poster was part of a series of three. The posters were made available to factory managers, schools, and State Nutrition Committees. They could be imprinted with a name and logo for four cents each in lots over 500, or five cents each for lots under 500. Single copies without imprints were sold for four cents each. Most of the posters currently found in today’s secondary marketplace were produced for the California War Council. The Max Hare/Big Bad Wolf poster is the rarest of the three, while the Donald/Horace poster is the most common.
