easterneagle87 Posted April 5, 2015 Share #1 Posted April 5, 2015 A friend of mine recently acquired a hand cart. He says it is a model, M5A4, for Airborne Troops. This is the only picture he sent me. I asked him to get one of the data plate. Will post it if he does. He may look to un-load it. How desirable are these carts? jonesy1275 Posted April 5, 2015 Share #2 Posted April 5, 2015 It's an M3A4 handcart. Not solely used by airborne troops but there are some good period photographs of them being used by paratroopers. If its complete and not very rusted, then I'm sure someone will want it.
URIK Posted April 7, 2015 Share #3 Posted April 7, 2015 They are VERY desirable. Your buddy could easily get $600-$800 as it sits. If it has the often missing draw bar, even more.
easterneagle87 Posted April 8, 2015 Author Share #4 Posted April 8, 2015 It is a M3A4 and here is a shot of the data plate.
jonesy1275 Posted April 9, 2015 Share #5 Posted April 9, 2015 Nice one. Your friend should be able to sell that quite easily. Here's a link to the thread I started regarding the restoration of mine:- http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/166389-my-43-john-wood-m3a4-hand-cart/ Neil.
