Womans AAF - Flight Nurse flying pants?

I was just going through some of the "stuff" that has been piling up around here, and as I was getting things ready to put at the website/ebay/shows/shop I was taking a look at these flight pants (one of 3 pair that are sitting here) and I saw the oilcloth "SIZE 4" tag in addition to the usual AAF spec tag. As a woman's uniform collector myself, I went "whaaa? OMG!"

So I am I correct in my thought that these were tagged for women as well?

Thanks,

Jerry

There are Flight pants that were designed for the nurses , they were designated as A13 INTERMEDIATE FLYING TROUSERS to be worn with the B17 jacket which was the nurse equivalent of the B15 jacket

Right, I have seen those, but that does not explain the "SIZE 4" tag on these Type - A11-As that is sewn under the spec tag.

Would a size 4 in women's clothing equate to a 34 inch waist in men? A 34 inch waist seems too large for that size. I know the sizes were different in WWII but I am not sure how they converted back then so I could be wrong.
