davekj Posted March 29, 2015 Share #1 Posted March 29, 2015 Hi All !! I picked up this license plate at an antique shop yesterday and think it may be a tag from a airfield , G being the name and F for Field . this above a winged propeller . It is a plate topper also with holes just in the bottom . It is 4 1/2" X 7 1/4" . I looked on the web and found nothing like it . But several states used orange and black plates in the 30's and 40's . The back is painted od green also . The dealer was not around to ask about it but I live in Ohio . What do you think ? Thank You for all your help and opinions !! Dave
12A54 Posted March 29, 2015 Share #2 Posted March 29, 2015 A guess - Godman Field, Kentucky (Fort Knox). Was a USAAF field before and during WWII.

Much like some of the WWII California plates have . Dave
