found this at local thrift, marked meco 1945, meco 1940, meco 1943 on straps, can anyone tell me what it is , us or foriegn thanks , mike

37 pattern large pack , I take it there are no buckles on the side ?

Definitely a P-37 Pack made by Mills Equipment Company. See this website for more information: http://www.karkeeweb.com/patterns/1937/1937_packs.html

 

The straps may be straps supporting used with the pack, or possibly someone used a non matching set of braces to wear it as a back pack. The web link above will list all components of the P-37 webbing.

 

Since this is non-US, I will close this thread in keeping with forum rules regarding non-US militaria.
