Hi guys,

I purchased this the other day but as it's my first "Dolphin" badge, my knowledge is a little sketchy. The reverse is marked Vanguard NY Sterling.

I'm guessing it dates from the 60s to 70s, so Vietnam period? Am I correct?

Thanks in advance!

Dave

Thanks guys, your opinions are appreciated!

It would be nice if they are Korean War period but I'm happy that they are 60s, I just wanted a sterling example :-)

Thanks again!

Mike you're definitely right, 1V it is :-)

Next time I must check marks with a loupe instead of my not so reliable eyesight.

So 60s it is, exellent!

Thanks again guys.

  • 3 months later...

I would second Mike's assessment, 60's era.

Here's an earlier Vanguard version:

Hi Dave,

Yes, for a later (post WW2) set of dolphins, they still have some charm.

Thanks, I try as I think it's important for members to see good images. They enlarge a bit more if you click on them; in case you didn't know.
