badaracs Posted March 25, 2015 Share #1 Posted March 25, 2015 Looking for an opinion here. See photo. This looks like a belt buckle, but it's smaller, and configured vertically. Perhaps it's a buckle/plate for a crossbelt or hat strap? Also, judging by the workmanship and style, as well as the stamp on the back ("S.N. Meyer - Washington"), my guess is it dates to 1920s - 1930s. And, of course, I'm clueless as to its approximate value.... Opinions??? Thanks, all! Brig Posted March 27, 2015 Share #2 Posted March 27, 2015 Emblem originated around 1908 and was used for decades, buckles like these were often made or purchased for use on civilian belts, souvineirs, etc. It is not an official/issued item
