cutiger83 Posted March 24, 2015 Share #1 Posted March 24, 2015 I have recently become very interested in B-25s. I am going to order the Squadron B-25 Walk Around and B-25 in Action books. I would love to see what the different interior sections of the plane looked like during a mission. Do any of you know a good book, website, etc that shows the interior of the plane? Everything I have found so far shows the exterior and the cockpit. I want to learn about the other areas of the plane as well. Thanks in advance for any assistance....Kat

Will see if I can find some good shots I have. Thanks! This is my newest interest! As I said, I can only find cockpit and exterior shots but not any of the other sections of the plane. Also, if you know of any good books, I would definitely be interested! ...Kat
cutiger83 Posted March 24, 2015 Author Share #4 Posted March 24, 2015 I forgot to add one thing... The B-25C is what I am most interested in. I believe the B-25B and B-25C were similar but changes were done for the B-25D. Is that correct? Thanks again, Kat

gwb123 Posted March 25, 2015 Share #6 Posted March 25, 2015 I don't have a drawing, but I do have these photos of the exposed B-25 at the Strategic Air and Space Museum at Ashland, Nebraska. One thing about these WWII bombers... they are never as big on the inside as the books and movies make you think they are. I can't remember what this set up was for. It was made of an actual B-25 fuselage. I think it was used for radio training, with instructors standing outside of it, but that may be wrong. Paint scheme is a mix of USAF with USAAF markings. The Meatcan Posted March 25, 2015 Share #8 Posted March 25, 2015 I just googled "B-25 bomber construction drawings" and got a number of interesting results. Some were scale or R/C aircraft plans but there were other sites that had some decent plans. Good luck! Terry
Third Herd Posted March 25, 2015 Share #9 Posted March 25, 2015 The B-25 pictured had sat for years at an Omaha airport with a couple more B-25's. When the SAC Museum was still by Offutt AFB, it was towed there and it was cut-awayed so people could see inside. I caught on the news from Omaha a group patched up the last B-25 there and flew it somewhere to restore it.
