gwb123 Posted March 20, 2015 Share #1 Posted March 20, 2015 The Moderating staff would like to ask your help when you are using the Latest Finds and Acquisitions section. We've noticed that a lot of the posts in the Latest Finds and Acquisition threads are for single items. One medal, one patch, one photo, one uniform,... etc. For those who are posting one item, or even a group of related items (say, a dozen AAF squadron patches), please post these straight to the appropriate section on the Forum. This will save your Moderators a lot of time. The Moderators make an effort to move these over to the right category as they come in, but after a while they get pretty stacked up. We'd prefer that the Latest Finds and Acquisitions section be used for those times when members have come home from the flea market, auction or show with such a wide variety of items that they just don't neatly fit into a specific category. Keep in mind when you post in a section, the latest post will be on top for all to see. Or other folks like myself like to use the View New Content bar at the top of the page to see what's new on the USMF. Thanks to everyone for helping to make this one of the top rated military discussion forums on the net!
gwb123 Posted December 11, 2015 Author Share #2 Posted December 11, 2015 Just a reminder. The Moderators are seeing a lot of "latest finds" posts for single items, or a group of similar items. If you have something like this you have recently picked up, please post it in the appropriate category.
Forum Manager Posted December 14, 2015 Share #3 Posted December 14, 2015 As of December 14th, this section will be closed to further posts. We have over 7000 post in storage, from the Latest Finds section, that need to be sorted and moved to the proper threads and this is a lot to ask the Mods & Curating Assistants to do.
