Airborne-Hunter Posted March 15, 2015 Share #1 Posted March 15, 2015 A local estate sale company advertised a one day sale with an "airborne book" here's what we came home with: First up: A few months back my dad helped out a guy that frequents local sales. A month or two later he said he had a ww1 observer wing for us and he brought it to the sale yesterday morning. Unfortunately it wasn't an observer wing, but it's still pretty nice especially since he refused any payment instead saying it was for the previous help. Airborne-Hunter Posted March 15, 2015 Author Share #4 Posted March 15, 2015 Next to the "airborne book" were two photo albums, one 1930s civie and one WW2. The ww2 one is pretty beat up on the outside, but the photos are pretty good. The bracelet was found in the case and matches an officer in the 307th ABN MED Glider. Bill_Carman Posted March 15, 2015 Share #20 Posted March 15, 2015 Wow!! The photo scrapbook is fantastic, great find! The research potential is definitely there, those ID bracelets normally had the service number along with the name engraved on them. Hope to see more down the road.
