roadrunner Posted April 23, 2015 Author Share #29 Posted April 23, 2015 at firefighter 1st the good news 15 years ago I traded a item like this. It was at a ASMIC collector meeting in Illesheim / Germany. It was under the for sale items of a DI collector. He only knew it was no Crest and so he offered it for 5 Mark. At that time I didn't know that it was a Aide to the President collar device. I bought it because it looks great. 2nd, the not so good news I sold or trade it, I can't remember when or at what price. After changing my collecting interests and searching information about presidential items I found out what I have had. But where it was gone ? I asked all collector friends but it was lost. A few days ago one was sold at eBay for $ 400 +. I made a bid on the item and then I saw, that the seller only send inside the States. I wrote to him, if he accept my bids, but he say No, he don't send overseas. :-( But I was lucky to have a other collector where I could obtain this item. :-) With the White House Service badge and the White House Service certificate I have fantastic items. I have several Presidential Service badges made by different manufacturers and 3 Presidential Service certificates in my collection. Next step: I hope to receive the Vice Presidential Service badge 1st type ( with droped wings ) in next 3 - 4 weeks. But where to get a certificate for this VPSB ? I received a picture of a certificate but the person who received the badge and certificate send the picture to me with the obligation not to publish it. O.K. I could not resist and asked if he would sell it ? But for nothing in the world. I can understand that. HAVE A NICE DAY Michael
