trenchbuff Posted March 8, 2015 Share #1 Posted March 8, 2015 These are a nice quality set of officer's dolphins that are only marked 1/20th 10K. The pins are stubby and came with flat backed clutches. Any idea what period they are from?

Josh B. Posted March 8, 2015 Share #3 Posted March 8, 2015 Unknown, but probably somewhere between late WWII-Korea era. Clutches migrate between insignia, and the "short pin" rule really applies mostly to Meyer produced badges (with respect to dating WWII era pieces, and because there are enough attributed examples out there to help date them). trenchbuff Posted March 8, 2015 Author Share #4 Posted March 8, 2015 Thanks Josh. I agree, no way to really know for sure unless they are attributed. That's what's nice about the forum, there's usually a collector out there who has a similar item and knows who wore it. Unfortunately, too many items we find come from people who could care less who wore them and when they wore them. Thanks again for you insight.
