ColdWarRules Posted March 8, 2015 Share #1 Posted March 8, 2015 Hi! I'm looking to get a WW1 uniform restored but I was hoping there would be a fellow member who've used someone to get something restored.
Brig Posted March 8, 2015 Share #2 Posted March 8, 2015 What exactly are you trying to restore? Ribbons and badges? Patches? Or actual structural damage to the garment itself?
ColdWarRules Posted March 8, 2015 Author Share #3 Posted March 8, 2015 There are some moth holes and a tear in the fabric. Everything else is fine.

cwnorma Posted March 8, 2015 Share #5 Posted March 8, 2015 It is called reweaving ...and it is fairly expensive. You might contact Forum Moderator "Dave" who looked into it a few years back to restore a 369 Infantry Officer's uniform to get an idea You may decide that unless your item is a family heirloom or otherwise historically important it may be cost prohibitive. Good luck! Chris
