He was in one of the last Marine Paratrooper classes and after graduating he was transferred to the 26th Marine Regiment of the Fifth Marine Division with whom he landed on Iwo Jima. Chutesandskulls Posted March 4, 2015 Author Share #6 Posted March 4, 2015 He went to the Paratrooper school it disbanded then he was sent to the 26th Marine regiment where he fought on Iwo Jima and then he served occupation duty in Japan and was promoted to Cpl and discharged.
