carrabassett Posted March 4, 2015 Share #1 Posted March 4, 2015 Bought a large mixed lot of military items and these two patches I couldn't figure out. One is like a DI and the other might be foreign made and I can't make out the lettering at the top. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance! tredhed2 Posted March 4, 2015 Share #2 Posted March 4, 2015 The small insigne is actually a common cloth DI for the 919th Air Base Security Battalion. The other is not US military, probably a heraldic crest for a European town/city.

Sorry to bug you, but why do these towns have patches with their crest? Are the citizens just proud or what?
