Greetings all,

Finally I have been able to size my photos correctly to begin my own collection thread.

So glad to finally share my best memorabilia with the community.

Thought I'd start with my only disdplay case, of misc. items I've found over the 5 years I've collected...

Hope you all enjoy and learn from my items!

VFG

7- holster is stamped VMSB- 234, also wish it were ID'd....oh if it could talk! Arisaka ype 30 Bayo was a bringback from a 4th MarDiv Infantryman. He got it off Saipan [can't help but wonder if he got it after the Last Banzai!]. He was later WIA on Iwo.

Next up is my favorite paperwork group. Everything from soup to nuts from LtCol. Donald Ellis. Company Commander of E/2/25 through Saipan and Tinian, then promoted and assigned as Bn. Operations Officer for Iwo. He was awarded the BS for Tinian, and the PH D+1 on Iwo. It's truly the most complete group I've ever seen.

Great items VFG, Its nice to know where some of the things we collect, we know where they came from. It makes it so much more to cherish as the caretaker of the item. More photos !!!

Endorsement signed by Myles Fox, who later receive a Posthumous Navy Cross as a Raider, and have a Naval Vessel named in his memory.
