Red Devil Posted February 27, 2015 Share #1 Posted February 27, 2015 I found this one recently and thought I'd share. I had never before run across any of the pre-WWI pouches and had to take it home. It is dated 1904. Can anyone help with the unit markings? It's salty and came with some first aid items that someone added at some point in its life, but I think it has a lot of character! Enjoy! Red Devil Posted February 27, 2015 Author Share #3 Posted February 27, 2015 Markings up close. The "4" is faint but there in the date.
Red Devil Posted February 27, 2015 Author Share #4 Posted February 27, 2015 Here's what came with it: a very old and stained bandage roll, a bag with an old powder packet, and a metal container (empty).
bheskett Posted February 27, 2015 Share #5 Posted February 27, 2015 Nice pouch. Hard one to find. Is there a Patent date on the hook? It would be on the long edge inside the pouch. Thanks for posting Bob
