My son's and my friend has been cleaning out the old homestead and found more of his Grandfathers items. He was on the west coast for training and attached to the 107th Cav. along with West Coast Defense Command and then detached and sent to England. In Europe he was in the XVI Corps and finally the XVIII Airborne Corps and some occupation duty. He was in the 54th Sign. Bn. Here is some of the German items he brought back. Not shown is a K98 Mauser with bring back papers signed by a Ord. officer.

Nice to see that you saved it all. Too many of these items just get trashed and not to mention the untold U.S. items that go to the dump. That's what hurts.
