In recent months I have been posting photographic holdings from the archival files of the USMC History & Museum Division. These consist of photos AND captions. One of the folders I've recently cone across are pics of many luminaries from generations long since passed. I am surprised how many have not been seen before, and those which are already public domain, actually have official captions and or notes from the collection or other source.
