TNFISTER Posted February 9, 2015 Share #1 Posted February 9, 2015 Hello all..judging by the sale price this 173rd color 1 piece is scarce. My question to anyone is would it be US color version of the similar twill type or any ideas or knowledge to the maker? Ie German? Korean? US? It doesn't look VN made. Any thoughts or comments welcome.

Too Much WW1 Militaria Posted February 10, 2015 Share #7 Posted February 10, 2015 I spent a year in Vietnam with the 173rd, and never saw a one piece SSI. You see something new every day! Then again I wasn't really looking, had other things to do! LOL John
patches Posted February 10, 2015 Share #8 Posted February 10, 2015 Maybe Pre Vietnam deployment (1963-65) Japanese/Okninawan Made? Or maybe still German made, made for or purchased for wear by vets of this unit in West Germany on another assignment post Vietnam, late 60s-70s? River Patrol Posted February 10, 2015 Share #11 Posted February 10, 2015 I agree with Bob, Japanese made....these will usually run $50-$100 but they can still be found in $1 patch bins.
