Information on the Medals: left to right; Massachusetts Long Service medal with added bar to ribbon. this bar could be" Service in War" or "Five Years" this was for five additional years of service. Expert Marksman; ribbon drape with 5 additional year bars, this medal with ribbon drape was introduced in 1903. Revolver Expert; ribbon drape with 7 additional year bars was introduced in 1903. Distinguished Marksman; this medal with ribbon drape was introduced in 1903, sometimes was engraved to the rear, the Distinguished Marksman roll will give you the exact date of issue. Sharpshooter Gold Shield; state team medal for National Team Matches, Sharpshooter Gold Shield roll will give you the exact date of issue and position on team. last medal unknown.
