littlegto Posted January 25, 2015 Share #1 Posted January 25, 2015 I decided to hit a few antique stores today while running errands. I was thrilled to score this early 1970's era APH-6 flight helmet and the Navy patches at an antique store in Riverside, Missouri (Kansas City area). I love the reflective tape rodeo rider on the back of the helmet. The owner was quite an artist. I believe the guy was an E-2 Hawkeye crewmember. This makes helmet number 45 in my collection. viking73 Posted January 25, 2015 Share #9 Posted January 25, 2015 Great score! What a cool tape job. How was the price considering where you bought it? -Derek
mohawkALSE Posted January 25, 2015 Share #10 Posted January 25, 2015 Interesting helmet. Holy ghetto life support made headset/mic cord. Its like a shop made U-61? I think thats the name for the plug that replicates. These damn near 5 or so different helmet plugs for Navy/Marine helmets from the past 50+ years
