Tudorp Posted January 19, 2015 Share #1 Posted January 19, 2015 Can anyone tell me if this is modern, current, vintage, era? I think it is a current one, but just curious. I picked this up for $8, and I figured at 10 grams, it has $5 in current silver value, so for $3, thought it was worth a save.

FNGRyan Posted January 19, 2015 Share #4 Posted January 19, 2015 I don't think current ones are even sterling anymore. Am I right?
Tudorp Posted January 19, 2015 Author Share #5 Posted January 19, 2015 They are probably available. I assume. When I served in the 70s-80s most medals and insignias that were issued were cheap pot metal, but you could upgrade at your own expense from the military clothing store. They did carry them in both cheap metal, and sterling. Not sure if that is still the case or not though.
