Usa1918 Posted January 18, 2015 Share #8 Posted January 18, 2015 I thought so, They originally came from me. I was given a WW1 USMC grouping in 1971 (I was 12 at the time) that had 6 extra pairs of Collar Discs in the sewing kit. The grouping was from Pvt Evron L. Shaffer, 79th Co 6th Marines who died in 1969 in Grand Forks ND. Here's me wearing the uniform in about 1972 for Veteran's Day:

Hessian Posted January 19, 2015 Share #12 Posted January 19, 2015 Wow.. What a cool place this forum is that a pair of seemingly unattributed collar discs can not only be recognized but also identified with a pic of the original grouping they came from. We should all be so lucky to know where our single pieces came from. Great scores! And, I'll second the request to see the rest of that group Keith! stucky151 Posted January 19, 2015 Author Share #14 Posted January 19, 2015 Prices were just right, i paid FMV for the disks but each badge and EGA was $5 each or around that. It was my friends first show, think he had a pretty good time and was able to score some good stuff to start him into collecting.
