jonesy1275 Posted January 12, 2015 Share #7 Posted January 12, 2015 Congrats on getting it. I was severely tempted with it. jonesy1275 Posted January 12, 2015 Share #11 Posted January 12, 2015 Then you might get lucky with identifying Duncan.

jonesy1275 Posted February 7, 2017 Share #17 Posted February 7, 2017 I was offered this uniform way before the original poster bought it. The biggest red flag I had was the amount of oak leaf clusters on the Air Medal. Four OLC on the ribbon meant that this Glider Pilot would have had to have participated in five combat operations. Now IX Troop Carrier Command's baptism of fire was D-Day, followed by Southern France, then Holland, then Bastogne resupply and finally the Rhine Crossing. Five operations in total so it was feasible that Duncan had participate in all five however, I have the full Glider Pilot Air Medal roster for D-Day and there is no Duncan in the list. This meant that what was on that ribbon bar did not accurately reflect things. As such, I passed on the uniform.
