INCREDIBLE grouping I know this is a late post . On the musette bag is the Peleilu marking the same one US Forces invaded??

 

Thanks! Those markings are ones he applied on his way home after liberation. He must have passed by Peleliu on his way home.

Believe it or not I recently found Hinkles engraved soap dish on EBay being sold by someone who got it at the original estate sale.

Just seeing this for the first time. What an amazing historical grouping. I am dumb struck by how wonderful it has all been preserved. Well done!
