hbtcoveralls Posted January 11, 2015 Share #1 Posted January 11, 2015 Found this box of combat dressings at a flea market near the house. Anybody have an idea of what era they are? Tom Bowers
sgtpeter Posted January 11, 2015 Share #2 Posted January 11, 2015 That stock number is NOT listed in my 1944 Med Dept catalog. Also the hyphenated stock numbers were first used around 1945/1946 and by 1950 the stock numbers had changed format so I would place it between 1945-1950. Would certainly be a good item for any Korean War or Civil Defense display. Peter
med-dept Posted January 11, 2015 Share #3 Posted January 11, 2015 Actually, the hyphenated Stock Number was introduced in July 1947 and was replaced in early 1950 by the Federal Stock Number (FSN) system. As a result, this is to be dated between 1947 and 1950. Thanks, Ben.
