I think the second to last turret on the USS Texas (and USS New York) was elevated. The second to last turret in the photo in the original post appears to be at the same height as the fifth turret. yp221 Posted January 9, 2015 Share #6 Posted January 9, 2015 Looking at the original post again its going to be a Florida class battleship (either USS Utah or USS Florida). Very similar to Delaware class with the main difference being the location of the smoke stacks. On the Florida class they were both between the masts. On the Delaware class one was between the masts the other was just aft of the main mast.
