WWII 1st Infantry salt & pepper shakers German fuse containers

Recommended Posts

Got these for a Christmas gift and are very cool. They are hand painted and are made from WWII German fuse containers bakelite material with the German Wather proof marked on the bottom of the caps same as the P38 grip are marked inside. On the other side is the 102nd Infantry and not for sure of the crest marked one is?

The shaker second from right has the crest of the 7th Field Artillery (a battalion at the time) on it. The 7th was an organic unit of the 1st ID DIVARTY. The appears to be a date on it (1946?) and possibly a location. At the time the 7th was stationed in Landshut in Bavaria.
