1810 Militia Roster Info Request -Estate Find

Recommended Posts

Hello all ,

I was recently at a Estate Auction , came across a 1810 Militia Roster from Lancaster , Pennsylvania. I was hoping some one here can identify any of these men I have listed. Interestingly on the backside is a date and 2 hard to read names, on which this document was givenin 1866 as a gift.

The Captain was Valentine Waltz I think or something with a Y. I mostly need heklp with finding this captain issue is I have trouble reading the name.

I think it was 1st Batallion of Lancaster County .

I can add more details tomrrow...maybe I can read of some of the names.

A few other letters from the 1700's were also found in this same estate, however they were not military related.

Thanks for the help...I always have trouble uploading photos on here though.
