okidonn Posted December 23, 2014 Share #1 Posted December 23, 2014 I believe this is a Navy version of the B-26 Martin Marauder but have no idea what type/variation, the "things" on the wing tips I have no idea. Any help appreciated.
US82Bravo Posted December 24, 2014 Share #2 Posted December 24, 2014 The aircraft is a P2V Neptune. This site will give you more information on the various subtypes: http://p2vneptune.com/ It is an anti-shipping/anti-submarine patrol aircraft. The "things" on the wings are fuel tanks. The port tank houses an additional search radar in the tip. The starboard, a searchlight. Tail code "7V" was for the Reserve Glenview, Illinois location.
