Looking for title of b/w movie, British spy posing as German general at end of war...

I saw the ending of this movie many years ago. The main character is (I think) a British officer who is posing as a German general. At the end, he's telling Hitler personally that several of his own people are traitors. He escapes from the bunker, apparently going West and is captured by either a Brit or US patrol, can't recall which. The very end of the movie has him walking down a street in his British officer's uniform and a soldier salutes him, he starts to give the German salute then remembers how to salute properly again.

Does anyone have clue as to the title of this movie?

I can't say, but I'd think probably late 40s or 50s from what I recall of the photography. But I could easily be wrong about that.
