While I do have a lot of the Planchet Press books to research from. I am missing some and, in fact, don't even know if some have been published for individual medals. Army Campaign medals were issued in four varieties; "No." prefixed numbers, "M.No." prefixed numbers, unprefixed numbers, and unnumbered. (Not all of the Army campaign medals were issued in all four numbering varieties.) Here is a quick list of what Army medals are tracable: Army Civil War Campaign – No. 1 to No. 554Army Indian Campaign – No. 1 to No. 1927Army Spanish Campaign – No. 1 to No. 7800 and No. 8000 to No. 8140Army Spanish War Service – #1 to #16650Army of Cuban Occupation – No. 1 to No. 4102Army of Puerto Rican Occupation – #1 to #200 and No. 201 to No. 320Army Philippine Campaign Service – No. 1 to No. 23250 and No. 23501 to No. 25000Army Philippine Congressional – No. 1 to No. 6179Army China Campaign – No. 1 to No. 1228 and No. 1501 to No. 1634Army of Cuban Pacification – No. 1 to No. 6339Army Mexican Service – No. 1 to No. 10000 and #10001 to #12529Army Mexican Border Service – #1 to #34012 Al Gleim (aka Planchet Press) published medal rolls for these tracable medals. The Army of Puerto Rican Occupation Medal Roll may have been published in an edition of Al Gleim's New Medal Letters. Looks like only your Army Indian Campaign Medal No. 259 is tracable. I have been assembling BG Butts medals and had not realized that the Indian Wars medal I had belonged to him. I didn't even realize that the Indian War medal belonged to him (thought he was too young). Turns out he was a young LT straight out of West Point and participated in the Battle of the Rosebud.
