Named Lieutenant's Constabulary liner

I have been chasing one of these for a long time, and finally managed to get one this week. The markings on this one are some of the nicest I've seen, with the Constabulary markings are meticulously painted on the front, which was actually carved into the liner before it was painted. On the inside it is named to Lieutenant James B. Carter including his serial number. The only flaw is the lieutenant pinned back his headband with paper clips that have rusted, staining the sweatband.

USMC-RECON0321

Absolutely love the look of this one, very artistic (even how he painted his name and ASN)! Would be near impossible to upgrade from this example. Look forward to your research.

Congrats

Nice liner.

Saw that one on ebay too.

I was going to bid but I ended up spending my money on a Colt USGI 1911a1.

Glad it ended up where it will be taken care of and appreciated.

Thats a great Liner!!! I too am after one. I have a great period frames 5x7 photo of a Constable. The photo is black and white with some hand colored tinting highlighting the yellows on his liner and yello scarf around his neck.. A liner like this next to the photo would make for a real nice small display!

Congrats!
